Entech Instruments Demonstrates The Recovery And Analysis Of Formaldehyde By EPA Toxic Organic Method 15 (TO15)

June 26, 2001, Simi Valley, CA.

June 12, 2001, Simi Valley, CA. Entech Instruments Inc. (“Entech”), a leading supplier of canister based sampling equipment for the measurement of VOCs in air, and analytical instrumentation for measurement of volatile compounds in air by GC and GCMS, today announced it had demonstrated the recovery and analysis of formaldehyde as part of a routine TO 15 analysis.

Formaldehyde was long thought of as a non-GC compatible compound. However, Entech’s Silonite coated sample canisters and flow path have changed this and Entech now leads the way in environmental analysis.

Art Hentschel, Entech Instruments’ Product Manager said, “Formaldehyde analysis by TO15 could save industry and government monitoring programs millions of dollars by eliminating the need for parallel sampling and analysis of formaldehyde and other carbonyls, by DNPH and analysis by HPLC.”

These compounds now become part of a single analysis incorporating EPA target compounds listed in methods TO11, TO14 & TO15 the Ozone precursors list and the Title III CAA amendment list. To view
