The 7016CA Canister Autosamplers

The 7016CA Autosampler provides unattended analysis of 16 canisters or Tedlar bag samples when connected to a 7000 or 7100 Entech Preconcentrator. Transfer lines are constructed of 1/8" stainless steel allowing repeated connection to 6L canisters without kinking.

Each sample line is coated with Silonite™, a flexible layer of fused silica which maximizes recovery of TO14/TO15 analytes even in dry, artificial matrices. Conversion fittings for direct connection to 1/4" Swagelok compression fittings are included for all 16 positions.

The 7016CA performs a unique "double sample flush" to help eliminate any carryover from the precious sample. The first flush occurs as a final step before baking out the preconcentrator during the previous sample analysis.

The heated rotary valve in the 7016CA then remains on the next sample position while the previous sample is being analyzed by GC(MS), eliminating the potential for cross contamination as rotary valves rotate past sample ports that are at higher pressures. A second flush occurs during the sample preconcentration just before drawing a requested volume of sample into the 7000/7100 Preconcentrator.

The 7016CA is intended for low concentration samples in the range of a few PPM to sub-PPB. For samples ranging from PPB to % levels, the 21 position 7032-L autosampler supports the ability to inject smaller sample volumes (10 to 2000µl) and can operate with or without a preconcentrator.
